Trump’s Fiery Condemnation of Vivek Ramaswamy Ends Budding Alliance
Vivek Ramaswamy seems to have struck a nerve with Donald Trump.
With only 48 hours left before the Iowa caucuses, Trump has taken his first swing at the one candidate who has staunchly defended the former president. Trump, in a Truth Social post, criticized Ramaswamy, stating that he is “not MAGA” and accused him of camouflaging his support for Trump with “deceitful campaign tricks.” Trump warned against falling for it, asserting that a vote for Vivek is a vote for the ‘other side’ and urged voters not to be duped, emphasizing to vote for ‘TRUMP’ instead.
This direct attack from Trump comes as Ramaswamy has been gaining some traction in the Iowa polls among Republicans. Just before Trump’s post, Ramaswamy shared a photo on X with supporters wearing T-shirts featuring Trump’s mugshot and the words, “Save Trump. Vote Vivek.”
On social media, Chris LaCivita, Trump’s senior campaign adviser, criticized Ramaswamy, labeling him a “FRAUD.” The former president himself wasn’t pleased with the message and decided to respond, according to a Trump adviser who spoke anonymously.
In response to Trump’s post, Ramaswamy, in a statement to POLITICO, expressed his respect for Trump, hailing him as the best president of the 21st century. He emphasized his unwavering defense of Trump against unjust persecutions, detailing his recent efforts, including filing a Supreme Court brief and issuing FOIA demands against the Biden administration. Ramaswamy urged people to open their eyes to the hard truth, emphasizing that the system will stop at nothing to keep Trump away from the White House.
